How to recycle your Nala products

How to recycle your Nala products

At Nala, we take a cradle-to-grave approach to our products which means prioritizing the sustainability of our products from the beginning to the end of their life cycle. We believe sustainability is a shared responsibility that depends on the cooperation of businesses, manufacturers, and consumers alike. This is why we are committed to using natural and high performance ingredients, minimizing waste during manufacturing, and ensuring that our packaging is sustainable, recyclable, and reusable wherever possible. At our core, we believe it is possible to create innovative products without harming our planet. From sourcing materials to production, we prioritize sustainability every step of the way. With your support, we can work towards creating a better and more sustainable future for generations to come.

Every element of our deodorant is created with upcycled materials and accepted with curbside recycling.

the deodorant tube

Nala deodorants are manufactured with 100% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic. There is no virgin plastic used in the creation of these products.

When you get to the bottom of your deodorant, read up on tips for using the last bits of your deodorant.  To recycle it, pull off the bottom piece, rinse out the tube using gentle soap & water, re-assemble, and add to curbside recycling. To ensure that all elements get recycled properly, it’s best to re-adhere the bottom component and lid before placing it in your curbside recycling bin! For a visual representation of what this looks like, check out our reel on Instagram.

outer packaging

The outer packaging is made from recycled and recyclable FSC-certified paper. We encourage you to upcycle this packaging to store your small your knick-knacks (pens, clips, q-tips, tampons, etc.), but it is also acceptable through curbside paper recycling.

Our breast oil is carefully manufactured and packaged with sustainability in mind.

The lid and stopper are made from SAN plastic which is unfortunately not accepted through most curbside recycling programs. If you have specialty recycling programs near you, this can be recycled with places that accept #7 recycling. Otherwise, please remove this part and dispose of it in the trash.
