Organic Beeswax

No longer found just in the domain of fancy candles, beeswax is another superstar in the natural cosmetics world.

This incredibly complex material, made up of over 300 different substances, contains antibacterial properties that help keep the skin clean, and remove toxins.

It’s also highly anti-inflammatory, which means it soothes irritation, relieves itching, and helps heal damaged patches of skin.

As if that all weren’t enough, beeswax is also loaded with vitamin A, which encourages healthy skin cell production.

Big on DIY? This wax is an easy-to-use emulsifier, so it’ll hold scents (like essential oils) well, and makes wonderful balms and lotions. DIY-er, beware though: not all beeswax is created equal. Its strength as an emulsifier makes it susceptible to any chemicals used during the beekeeping process, so make sure you’re loading up on organic wax when you do your shopping.
