Bulgarian Rose Absolute

Bulgarian Rose oil, distilled from the petals of Rosa damascena grown in the famed Rose Valley of Bulgaria, is often referred to as “liquid gold” for its extraordinary skincare benefits and intoxicating fragrance. With a history steeped in luxury and wellness, this essential oil has been cherished for centuries in beauty rituals and therapeutic applications.

Bulgarian Rose oil is a natural humectant that helps the skin retain moisture, keeping it hydrated and healthy. It is especially beneficial for those with dry or mature skin. In addition to its moisturizing properties, this oil has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits that can soothe redness and irritation while protecting the skin from environmental damage and premature aging (Shohayeb et al., 2014; Trendafilova et al., 2023).

Moreover, Bulgarian Rose oil has cicatrisant properties that promote healing for scars and improve overall skin texture. Its antimicrobial effects support a balanced skin microbiome, which helps minimize the risk of breakouts and infections, making it an excellent option for sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Beyond its skin benefits, Bulgarian rose oil’s subtle floral scent is known for its calming effects, helping to reduce stress and promote relaxation.

Key Benefits:

Antimicrobial: Reduces odor-causing bacteria, keeping underarms fresh and clean.

Protects Against Premature Aging: Antioxidants shield delicate underarm skin from environmental stressors.

Heals Scars & Improves Texture: Promotes even skin tone and smoothness, addressing discoloration or roughness caused by shaving or waxing.

Luxurious Aroma: Its subtle, floral fragrance neutralizes odor and provides a calming, long-lasting scent that enhances the deodorant experience.

Fun fact:

Bulgarian Rose oil is one of the most labor-intensive essential oils to produce. It takes about 4,000 kilograms of rose petals, harvested by hand during a very short blooming season, to produce just one kilogram of Bulgarian Rose oil, highlighting its rarity and premium status in the world of skincare.  Each rose must be picked early in the morning to preserve its fragrance and oil content.
