Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) CO2 Leaf Extract
Rosemary is a hardy herb that grows natively all over North America, and packs a surprising punch when it comes to natural health.
The extract of this aromatic plant was chronicled by one of the botanical greats, Dr. James Duke, who found it carried more than two dozen antioxidants, and remarkable antibacterial properties – more than any other herb he studied.
Applied topically, rosemary extract can help soothe dermatitis, acne, eczema and psoriasis. Its antibacterial nature also helps to heal wounds by fighting fungal and microbial infection.
A word to the wise about rosemary extract, however: this one can’t be applied directly to the skin without first being diluted into a carrier oil, like coconut or avocado oil. On its own its properties are too strong and harsh, and will likely irritate skin.
