At Nala, every product we create is infused with care and intention. Guided by our mission to inspire self knowing, self care, and self advocacy, we believe body care is more than just routine, it’s a daily practice of honoring yourself. And behind every formula, every package, and every message we share, there’s a team of women bringing this vision to life.
This International Women’s Day, we’re peeling back the curtain to celebrate the incredible women who make Nala what it is. From our mother-daughter co-founders to the chemists crafting our formulas and the digital team sharing our story with the world—each of these women brings something unique to the table. And today, they’re sharing a little bit about their journey, their favorite rituals, and what being a woman means to them.

What is your favorite thing about being a woman, and how has this changed over the years?
I love being a woman for how unapologetic we are. There's been a collective and tangible shift where women are leaning into our femininity, our softness and our anger, our wonderment, and we're owning it. I'm here for both the personal growth and societal shift on what it means to be a woman and how it's not something that can be contained within a neat checkbox.
What's one ritual that brings you joy?
I have dance parties with my kids, often. Usually in our pajamas and to music that is arguably not PG, but it always brings levity and joy to the atmosphere.
What is your favorite Nala product?
Palo Santo & Sage for the smell, Lavender & Vetiver for the stress relief. Sometimes I just rub it into my wrists between meetings as a grounding exercise.

What is your favorite thing about being a woman, and how has this changed over the years?
Knowing all that my body can do. I've become more and more grateful for my body over the years. I also love expressing different sides of my femininity - from being soft yet strong, connected yet independent, there doesn't need to be one or the other.
What's one ritual that brings you joy?
When my bedroom is cold, I turn the heater on a couple of hours before I go to bed to preheat so it's ready for me like a cookie going into the oven.
What is your favorite Nala product?
Grapefruit and Neroli! She smells fresh, a little floral, and makes me feel confident throughout the day.

What is your favorite thing about being a woman, and how has this changed over the years?
I love being a woman. I'm strong, independent, passionate, loving, and sometimes silly. I love just being myself and being a loving mother. As the years have passed, I’ve noticed I worry a lot more now…in a good way, though.
What's one ritual that brings you joy?
Spending time with my family and close friends. Meditation and relaxation.
What is your favorite Nala product?
I love the Eucalyptus deodorant, smells awesome. Also, the Nala Labs charcoal body wash we released last year, it was so gentle and I loved it.

What is your favorite thing about being a woman, and how has this changed over the years?
I genuinely just love being a woman. Growing up as an athlete, I used to feel like I had to downplay my femininity—almost as if embracing it would make me less of a competitor. I carried a lot of shame around it, thinking I had to be a tomboy to prove my worth. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to deeply appreciate womanhood and everything that comes with it—the strength, the softness, the sisterhood. Women are incredible. (Minus the patriarchy—that part can go.)
What's one ritual that brings you joy?
My morning routine, without a doubt. If you know me, you know how much I love to romanticize my mornings. There’s something so grounding about sipping my coffee while staring out the window like I’m the main character in a movie, jazz playing softly in the background, journal in hand. It’s a small but sacred moment of peace before the day begins.
What is your favorite Nala product?
Lavender & Vetiver, or Grapefruit & Neroli! As someone who tends to sweat a lot, these have been absolute lifesavers. They keep me feeling fresh and smelling amazing all day—so I can go about my day without worrying about a thing.

What is your favorite thing about being a woman, and how has this changed over the years?
I've come to realize that being a woman encompasses a beautiful diversity of experiences and expressions. There's a vast range of what makes me feel feminine and confident, and I definitely draw endless inspiration from the incredible women around me. The women I know and the women I’ve encountered in my life all bring such unique perspectives on womanhood.
What's one ritual that brings you joy?
A weekly coffee catch-up with my girlfriends has been my little slice of heaven these days. The act of coming together (usually after a workout class) to talk about everything and anything is such a joyous activity—especially when you’re wrapped up in the chaos of everyday life. Bonus—so much laughter! And quite frankly, I can’t think of anything better than howling with people you love.
What is your favorite Nala product?
I typically gravitate towards Eucalyptus and Champa. But, Grapefruit and Neroli deodorant is my absolute favorite! When it was first released as a Nala Labs exclusive, I carried around a small tin to use on my wrists as a fragrance. Smells so so good!
On this International Women’s Day, We'd say the key takeaway is the vibrant energy of femininity and the diverse ways we celebrate womanhood. It’s a joyful reminder of the many experiences that come with being a woman!
